Frequently Asked Questions
Where is Sculpt Pilates located?
Sculpt Pilates is a boutique studio in Dormont at 3233 West Liberty Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15216, serving Pittsburgh's South Hills.
What style of Pilates do you teach?
Our practice is rooted in classical Pilates with a touch of contemporary, so we see Pilates as simply Pilates. We treat the body the way a sculptor treats marble: with patience, control, and reverence for what is already there.
Do I need experience to start?
No. The instructors at Sculpt Pilates meet you where you are. We guide you through the fundamentals at your own pace, and the work scales as you progress, so first-timers and experienced practitioners train side by side.
What equipment will I use?
Classical Pilates is a full system. You will work across a range of apparatus, including the reformer and tower, along with chair, mat, and supplementary equipment, depending on the class.
How many people are in a group class?
Group classes are capped at 8 spots, so every member gets individual attention and hands-on instruction.
What should I wear and bring?
Wear fitted, comfortable activewear you can move in. Grip socks are required for safety and hygiene. We carry grip socks in studio if you need a pair.
Do you offer private and semi-private sessions?
Yes. We offer private and semi-private Pilates sessions for members who want focused, personalized instruction. These are ideal if you are working toward a specific goal, returning from injury, or neare w to the practice.
What memberships and class packs do you offer?
We offer memberships and class packs to fit different schedules and commitment levels. View current options and pricing on our Memberships & Class Packs page.
How do I book a class?
Reserve your spot online at sculptpilatespgh.com or through our booking app. You can view the live schedule, book classes, and manage your account in one place.
What is your cancellation policy?
Classes must be cancelled at least 10 hours before start time. Cancelling inside that window or no-showing incurs a fee determined by your membership agreement or class pack type.
Membership cancellation terms are determined by your membership type and outlined in your agreement.
Is there parking?
Yes. Street parking is available, and there is a lot to the left of the building.
What are the benefits of Pilates?
Pilates builds core strength, full-body control, flexibility, and posture through low-impact, controlled movement. It is a complete practice that strengthens without strain and supports how you move in everyday life.
How often should I practice?
Most members see results practicing two to three times per week. Consistency matters more than intensity, and your instructor can help you build a rhythm that fits your goals.
